Hopscotch at 5 Lonsdale St, is the newest gastropub to Braddon. With one of the largest spaces in Braddon, and boasting an expansive beer garden, complete with outdoor spit, Hopscotch has already become a fixture for great meals and good times in Canberra’s north.
With the largest range of whiskies (including scotches, blends, bourbons, Irish, French, Japanese and Australian) available in Canberra coupled with a wide selection of fine wines and craft beers on tap, you will be sure to find a delicious beverage to enjoy with anything from their imported wood-fired Argentine Grill.

Mountain Goat

This one’s come about after a couple of summers playing around with aromatic, hoppy and sessionable ales like Skipping Girl and Goldilocks. There’s plenty of malted and unmalted wheat in the grist make up, and a big burst of fruity Nelson Sauvin and Motueka hops on the nose. For the tech-heads the numbers are: 20BU, 7EBC, 4.7%ABV. We’re also pretty pumped to have packed it in a 375 ml can, for all your outdoor summer thirst quenching requirements.

Asahi Super Dry

Through an innovation in Japanese brewing techniques, Asahi Super Dry has a delicate, yet rich, full-flavoured body with a refreshing dry aftertaste. Asahi is brewed using the best quality ingredients – yeast, malt, hops, maize & rice. With consumers’ preferences in mind, Asahi Super Dry is designed to go perfectly with any meal while maintaining its refreshing quality. 5.0% alc/vol

Coast Ale

Drawing influence from our brewer's San Diego heritage, Coast Ale is our take on the California common ale and reminiscent of epic south coast adventures, surfing & exploring with good friends. It’s fresh, crisp & clean with a rich malt body, fruity hop bitterness and smooth rounded finish. Best enjoyed up & down the coast.

Monteith's Crushed Apple Cider

Monteith's Crushed Apple Cider contains fresh sun-ripened New Zealand apples that have been crushed to retain the fruit's natural flavours. The apple juice is then patiently fermented to deliver a revitalising premium Cider. 4.5% alc/vol

Stone & Wood Pacific Ale

Inspired by our home on the edge of the Pacific Ocean and brewed using all Australian barley, wheat and Galaxy hops, Pacific Ale is cloudy and golden with a big fruity aroma and a refreshing finish. After being dry hopped at the end of fermentation, Stone & Wood Pacific Ale is then drawn straight from the storage tank at the brewery into kegs and bottles. 4.4% alc/vol

4 pines kolsch

Light straw in colour. Aromas of lemon/lime prelude a light malty palate. Finishing crisp and clean showing hints of spice and citrus.

Endevour Ale

The Endeavour Vintage beers change recipe annually to reflect the growing seasons they are borne from. Each vintage will showcase the Endeavour house style: a hand-crafted brew that is made in tribute to the artisan hop and barley growers in Australia who provide their quality produce to help create craft beers just like this. Exciting aromatic characters of fresh hops are clearly evident on a nose that gives way to an extremely refreshing palate with a superb long lasting finish.

Coopers Pale Ale

Guaranteed to turn heads, this is the beer that inspired a new generation of ale drinkers. With its fruity and floral characters, balanced with a crisp bitterness, Coopers Pale Ale has a compelling flavour which is perfect for every occasion. Naturally fermented in the "Burton-upon-Trent" style, a secondary fermentation creates the trademark sediment that gives 'Pale' its fine cloudy appearance. 4.5% alc/vol

Our Argentine wood-fired grill was imported from Northern California. It is designed to cook mouth-watering meats over red-hot coals. Hopscotch uses a mixture of iron bark and red gum to impart a light smoke flavour to the meals.

The wood-fired Argentine Grill is over 700kg of steel, and was imported from California. Using Yellow Box and Ironbark to fuel the fires, the mouth watering meats are cooked over red-hot coals to impart the lightly smoked flavours found in our meals.

Using the same mixture of wood for our Spit Roast Pit, full pigs are prepared and roasted to succulent perfection and are available for functions and parties. Contact us below and speak to our staff for more information.
